Reclaiming Who You Are and Where You’re Meant to Go

There is something deeply healing about finally understanding yourself.

Not the version of you shaped by trauma, conditioning, people-pleasing, survival mode, or the expectations of others — but the real you underneath it all.

For me, learning about my Defined G Center in Human Design changed everything.

It validated what I had always known deep down:
I do know who I am.
I do know where I’m going.
And no matter how much life tried to disconnect me from myself, my direction never truly left me.

If you’ve been searching for clarity, identity, purpose, self-trust, or emotional healing, understanding the G Center in Human Design can completely shift the way you see yourself.

What Is the G Center in Human Design?

The G Center in Human Design is the center of:

  • Identity

  • Love

  • Direction

  • Purpose

  • Authenticity

  • Self-expression

It answers the questions:

  • Who am I?

  • Where am I going?

  • What am I here to embody?

When you have a Defined G Center, you tend to carry a more consistent sense of identity and direction throughout life. Even when things get messy, there is often an inner knowing guiding you forward.

When you have an Undefined or Open G Center, your identity and direction may feel more fluid, influenced by the people and environments around you.

Neither is better than the other. Both carry immense wisdom.

But understanding your design changes how you navigate relationships, healing, career decisions, boundaries, and self-worth.

My Defined G Center: The Power of Inner Direction

I have a Defined G Center with six activated gates, which means love, identity, creativity, and direction are major themes in my life.

My conscious Sun activates Gate 2 — The Direction of Self.

This gate carries a deep inner knowing about where my life is meant to go. I’ve experienced this throughout my life in ways I couldn’t always explain logically. When something no longer aligns with my direction, I physically and emotionally cannot force myself to stay.

And honestly? That has required tremendous courage.

If someone is not walking in alignment with my direction, there is often a natural parting of ways.

The lesson of Gate 2 is not controlling others.
It is trusting yourself enough to follow your own path.

When I align with my own direction, I naturally inspire others to reconnect with theirs.

Creativity as Healing, Grounding, and Self-Expression

I also have three activations in Gate 1 — The Gate of Creative Self-Expression.

This energy is not about performing or proving yourself.
It is about authentically expressing who you are.

Creativity has always grounded me.

From dancing throughout childhood and adolescence to photography, home renovation, writing, and storytelling online, creativity has consistently brought me back to myself.

And the more authentically I express myself, the more permission others feel to do the same.

This is one of the greatest misconceptions about authenticity:
People think it’s selfish.

It’s not.

Authenticity liberates people.

When you stop hiding who you are, others subconsciously feel safer doing the same.

Trauma, Gaslighting, and Losing Yourself

Even with a Defined G Center, trauma can disconnect you from yourself.

I know this firsthand.

Gaslighting, emotional pain, unhealthy relationships, and low self-worth deeply impacted my connection to my identity and intuition for years.

I especially struggled because I have a Completely Open Heart Center, which can create intense challenges around self-esteem, worthiness, and proving yourself.

There were seasons of my life where I doubted everything:

  • my intuition

  • my identity

  • my emotions

  • my direction

  • my worth

But Human Design helped me reconnect with what had always been true underneath the conditioning.

It gave language to experiences I had carried with me my entire life.

And more importantly, it helped me trust myself again.

Gate 10: Radical Self-Love and Walking Away

One of the most transformative energies in my chart is Gate 10 — The Gate of Self-Love.

This energy taught me that self-love is not just affirmations and bubble baths.

Sometimes self-love looks like leaving.

Leaving relationships.
Leaving environments.
Leaving dynamics that require you to abandon yourself.

There have been pivotal moments in my life where I walked away from situations others may have stayed in because something inside me said, “I love myself too much to continue this.”

That is the power of embodied self-worth.

And for many people healing from trauma, CPTSD, emotionally unsafe relationships, or people-pleasing patterns, this lesson becomes life-changing.

Loving Humanity While Learning to Love Yourself

I also carry Gate 15 — The Gate of Loving Humanity and Human Extremes.

This gate understands that being human is messy.

We are all capable of beauty and destruction.
Love and fear.
Compassion and pain.

Part of my healing journey has been learning to accept my own emotional depth, intensity, and extremes instead of viewing them as flaws.

Because healing is not becoming less human.
Healing is becoming more accepting of your humanity.

Why Human Design Coaching Can Be So Transformative

Human Design is not about placing yourself in another box.

It is about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be.

Through Human Design coaching, we can explore:
